Charity Projects

I'm going to be using one of my books to raise money for a different charity each year.

Please note, the content of the books has nothing to do with the charities they will be raising money for!

You can find out a bit about each project, and which good cause they'll be raising money for below.

2012 - Dogs for the Disabled

So far (not including gift aid additions) this book has raised

£172.08

In the Blink of an Eye is an MM, BDSM Erotic Romance. It was released in September 2012 by Resplendence Publishing.

100% of all the royalties I reciveve for the book, primary and secondary sales over the full duration of the contract, will be donated to Dogs for the Disabled, based in the UK.

I chose this charity after adopting my own dog - Anwen - earlier this year. Even though I don't have anything like the severity of the conditions the charity trains their dogs to help people deal with, Anwen has made a huge difference to my life and my ability to deal with my own health issues. So, it seemed right to do something to help pass that on.

Everyone who buys the book direct from the RP website will be donating 50 cents (US) to a really fantastic cause.

Here's a bit about the charity (taken from their website):

Dogs for the Disabled is a life-transforming charity, creating exceptional partnerships between people living with disability and specially trained assistance dogs. Through practical assistance a dog offers freedom and independence to children and adults with disabilities and children with autism.

A Bit about the charity (taken from their website):

Tŷ Hafan offers comfort, care and support for life-limited children and young people and is dedicated to improving the quality of life of their whole family.

Tŷ Hafan was established in 1999 to provide respite, palliative and end of life care to the children in Wales who suffer from life-limiting conditions. Life limiting conditions are those which mean that the child or young person is not expected to reach nineteen years of age.

Children suffer from various conditions, such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Cystic Fibrosis and Celebral Palsy. Some children are diagnosed at birth; others receive no diagnosis or at some point treatment is abandoned. Children and their families might receive our support for many years or just for a few days at the end of life. Either way, Tŷ Hafan provides love, care and support for the children and their families absolutely free of charge.

Tŷ Hafan is a registered charity and was established entirely from public donations. It now costs £2.5 million a year to run the hospice and all but 17% (Government funding) is raised through the generosity of our donors and supporters.

I'm hoping to do more charity projects in the future. More details of the next one will be posted when firm decisions are made.
